CHRISTMAS ACTIVATION
As design lead for Virgin Atlantic's Christmas activity at the airports, I collaborated with Microsoft to deliver a seamless and consistent experience for customers globally, on the ground and in the air. We created a gaming experience across two aircraft from either side of the world. I designed and crafted the creative ideas and the look and feel to support the game and designed and produced a variety of assets for the ground and air experiences. This was the first year that the activity became global for the airline and encouraged passengers to put on their antlers and #ThankYouDeer to win flights to gift to someone special.
The social media campaign was a big success globally, with posts from South Africa, Dubai, the US and London to name a few. It was a great brand moment for the airlines customers and the reindeer antlers had great presence as they decorated the space as passengers moved through the airport experience.
Alongside the Christmas airport activity I storyboarded and art directed a festive film with the same consistent messaging and creative tone, producing and supplying crafted assets and imagery. The story links to the onboard activity, the gaming between two destinations mid air, one flight going to Hong Kong, the other coming from San Francisco to London.
