OFFICE BRANDING
Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays were co locating to a new build, head office. I was asked to brand and sign the space in keeping with the architecture and theme of the environment. Designed to be an open plan, flexible and hot desk environment with clean, industrial lines and accents of metallic, feature red staircases and break out areas. As the lead designer I worked with the interior designers and architects to understand the architectural drawings and the fabrics and materials being used and I presented my ideas to senior leadership members at the airline.
I created a suite of way finding graphics in key spaces, all produced in a gold, mirrored acrylic, borrowing from the metallic accents in the furniture. A light box to brand the restaurant space, an industrial beacon in the clean environment. I also designed a set of window vinyls, beautiful faceted, textured vinyls in three sizes, to allow various amounts of privacy to 30 meeting rooms. A pattern designed to be in keeping with the airlines suite, but unique enough to work for the holiday brand, the pattern symbolises movement from point to point, a reflection of aircraft flights line and moving from A to B seamlessly. It fits perfectly but subtly with both brands.
